ABOUT GALLERY BERSHAD
GB
is an alternative gallery space influenced by a sensibility for design
and the architecture firm with which it shares 3,500 square feet. Under
new direction, GB aims to be on the leading edge of Boston's fine art
venues. In January, 1999, Gallery Bershad opened as a new venue for the
display of vanguard art in Somerville, a community known for its artistic
vitality. Gallery Bershad is an outgrowth of the historic Provincetown
Group Gallery and is affiliated with the respected Boston architecture
firm Bershad Design Associates.
With
over 250 feet of linear wall space and more than 3200 square feet of gallery
space, Gallery Bershad offers a unique alternative to Boston's smaller
art venues. The gallery, situated in the heart of Somerville's hip neighborhood
of Davis Square, will engage the creative energy of this dynamic community.
